I am an Asian American actor, singer, model and Certified Tennis Professional. I was born and raised and have always lived in New York City. My favorite pastimes include: acting, singing, teaching and playing tennis, working out, day trading, and just chilling with friends. I am forever trying to learn Mandarin, Italian and how to play BB King Blues Licks on my electric guitar. My favorite foods are: must be fresh sushi, very thin brick oven pizza, Chinese and Thai. I really love listening to Sinatra and my other favorite smooth vocalists are: Van Morrison, George Michael, Andrea Bocelli and Pavarotti. My favorite musicals are still: West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Miss Saigon. I am extremely fortunate to be able to make a living doing what I love: acting, modeling, and teaching tennis. My family and friends have always supported me and I hope they will always get a kick out of seeing me in movies, on stage, on tv and in magazines.
I first met Mickey Rourke in 1984. I was at an audition for “Year of the Dragon” in which he was starring with John Lone, and Ariane. Mickey and I became fast friends. He wanted to help me get a role in the movie so he offered to coach me. He gave me a personal/private acting lesson every night for a week starting at midnight in his hotel room. He was really incredibly cool and he taught me how to act cool. I learned his method of acting which I call “Mickey’s Method.” He told me to be truthful, to be real, to become the character 24/7, to eat, sleep, even crap like the character. Trusting and believing his teachings is definitely the reason why I got cast in 3 other Blockbuster Hollywood movies: Pearl Harbor, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and The Brave One. Thank you Mickey!!!
